Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the Job Description Receiving and how the impact is given with the receiving staff for the smooth operation of the hotel. The research was carried out by the author by taking the case at the Sofitel Paris Arc de Triomphe Hotel for 6 months. In this study using a qualitative descriptive method to collect and process data in the form of interviews with speakers at the Sofitel Paris Arc de Triomphe. Based on the results of the study the authors concluded that the Sofitel Paris Arc de Triomphe Hotel does not apply Job Description Receiving due to the absence of the position of receiving staff at the Sofitel Paris Arc de Triomphe Hotel, this can be seen when the goods product arrived at the receiving hotel are each department concerned like the vegetables that come then the one receiving is the kitchen staff itself. The absence of the position of receiving staff at the Sofitel Paris Arc de Triomphe Hotel can hamper the operational smoothness of the hotel which results in late hours of opening time in restaurants, less than the maximum preparation process in the kitchen, pressure on hotel employees.
