Abstract
Bir Pletok adalah minuman tradisional khas Betawi yang sangat unik dan melegenda yang muncul ketika Belanda menduduki Batavia pada masa penjajahan Belanda. Meskipun minuman ini disebut "Bir", namun minuman ini tidak beralkohol dan terbuat dari rempah-rempah seperti pala, cengkeh, kapulaga, kayu manis, serai, daun jeruk, daun pandan, kayu secang, dan jahe sebagai bahan utama yang dapat menghangatkan tubuh. Saat ini, Bir Pletok masih bisa ditemukan di acara-acara Betawi, misalnya di hari ulang tahun DKI Jakarta, upacara adat Betawi, dan juga bisa ditemukan di tempat-tempat wisata yang berhubungan dengan Betawi seperti Kampung Betawi Setu Babakan. Semenjak keberadaan Bir Pletok mulai berkurang, maka Bir Pletok juga bisa punah jika tidak kita cegah. Susunan penelitian yang penulis lakukan adalah dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara dengan penjual bir Pletok, observasi serta studi pustaka yang bertujuan untuk mendapatkan informasi yang akurat. Hasil akhir yang penulis buat adalah berupa video dan poster berjudul “Mengeksplorasi Kisah Dibalik Bir Pletok Betawi” yang berisi tentang budaya Betawi secara umum, proses pembuatan Bir Pletok, Sekilas tentang kuliner Betawi, serta upaya pelestarian. keberadaan Bir Pletok. Saran bagi pembaca yang lebih peduli dengan kebudayaan atau peradaban asli kita, khususnya Bir Pletok.
