Abstract
Karena batik Priangan atau batik Tasik sangat unik namun belum banyak diketahui oleh masyarakat. Batik merupakan warisan budaya Indonesia yang sering diminati dan diminati oleh berbagai wisatawan dari berbagai negara. Batik berasal dari berbagai daerah di Indonesia, yang paling terkenal diantaranya berasal dari daerah Solo. Tasikmalaya dijuluki The Pearl of Priangan Timur dengan kotanya yang dikenal sebagai Kota Santri karena hampir seluruh wilayahnya tersebar di pesantren-pesantren yang mengajarkan agama Islam. Tak hanya itu, Tasikmalaya juga terkenal dengan kain bordir yang merupakan bisnis turun temurun. Tak banyak yang tahu bahwa Tasikmalaya juga merupakan daerah penghasil batik. Ada 2 jenis batik yaitu batik tulis dan batik cap. Membutuhkan waktu 2 minggu untuk membatik tulis dan membatik cap memerlukan waktu kurang lebih 2 jam. Maka dari itu saya dan tim saya sepakat untuk menceritakan dan menghidupkan kembali Batik Tasikmalaya (Batik Priangan) yang merupakan salah satu budaya Indonesia.
