Abstract
Pandemi Covid-19 yang terjadi pada tahun 2019 silam memiliki banyak dampak bagi manusia. Salah satu dampaknya merupakan kebiasaan baru yakni masyarakat secara luas diharuskan untuk memakai masker sehingga menjadi kebiasaan yang dilakukan. Karena pemakaian masker ini yang meningkat secara langsung berdampak juga terhadap peningkatan limbah masker tersebut. Sifat masker tersebut yang memiliki jangka waktu terurai yang lama yakni 450 tahun memiliki dampak buruk terhadap lingkungan sekitar. Oceans Asia memaparkan laporan bahwa pada tahun 2020 terdapat 1,56 milyar limbah masker di laut. Maka dari itu tujuan dari penelitian ini merupakan untuk mencari variasi eksplorasi dan jenis material baru seperti apa yang dihasilkan dengan menggunakan Teknik pengolahan heat fusing. Alasan dari penggunaan teknik ini merupakan dikarenakan bahan dasar masker sendiri yang memiliki jenis thermoplastic. objek dari penelitian ini merupakan masker KN 94 dan juga masker bedah.
