Abstract

Instagram is one of the most popular social media nowadays, and also many of brands use Instagram to promote their own brand. And also, use Instagram for bring up their brand awareness. This paper aims to describe brand awareness of Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort. Ideally, how Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort use Instagram for bring up their brand awareness to their customer. Instagram could getting the word out there to customers. Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort use Instagram for promote their brand and bring up their brand awareness to always be on their customer top of mind. This research is presented in a descriptive qualitative method. Through interview and observation methods, the author found that User Generated Content get more engagement because people don’t like hard selling, people don’t like something too much in their face, that’s why Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort apply soft selling on Instagram, which is photo content from the guest is more soft selling, rather than from hotel side because if the content from photographer.
