Abstract
Saat ini, keberlanjutan telah menjadi bagian penting dari industri pariwisata. Pariwisata berkelanjutan sendiri disorot dalam Agenda 2030 PBB untuk Pembangunan Berkelanjutan. Kemudian, sub komponen pariwisata berkelanjutan adalah ekowisata (Kiper, 2013). Sebagai negara kepulauan terbesar, Indonesia terkenal dengan tempat-tempat ekowisatanya—salah satunya adalah Bunaken. Oleh karena itu, proyek storytelling ini bertujuan untuk menampilkan kegiatan ekowisata dan manfaatnya bagi ekosistem dan masyarakat Pulau Bunaken melalui video dokumenter sinematik. Proyek ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui observasi dan wawancara. Selanjutnya, hasil video dari proyek ini menunjukkan kegiatan ekowisata di sekitar pulau Bunaken, seperti layanan transportasi, pertanian dan perikanan, akomodasi, restoran, penjualan suvenir, dan aktivitas bawah laut. Juga, video tersebut menunjukkan bagaimana ekowisata bermanfaat bagi penduduk setempat karena mendukung ekonomi mereka dan bagaimana ekowisata bermanfaat bagi ekosistem laut melalui kegiatan konservasi dan pelestarian. Selain itu, video tersebut juga menampilkan prinsip-prinsip pariwisata berkelanjutan, yang meliputi aspek lingkungan, ekonomi, dan sosial budaya.
