Abstract
Ruang Terbuka Hijau (RTH) Publik merupakan sarana yang wajib dimiliki oleh setiap kota. Peraturan tersebut diatur dalam UU No. 26/2007 mengenai Penataan Ruang, dalam pasal 29 ayat 2 disebutkan bahwa persentase pembagian dari ruang terbuka hijau dalam area kota setidaknya 30 (tiga puluh) persen dari total area kota. Oleh karena itu, setiap kota maupun daerah berlomba-lomba untuk membuat RTH yang dapat menarik perhatian pengunjung. Hal yang diperhatikan oleh Pemerintah Kota dalam menjaga RTH, mulai dari kebersihan, fasilitas, dan tentunya daya tarik visual yang dapat dipergunakan sebagai tempat berswafoto. Pada perancangan ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana cara memanfaatkan space yang tersedia dan faktor apa yang dibutuhkan dalam merancang fasilitas duduk sebagai seni instalasi pada RTH. Metode yang digunakan pada peranangan ini adalah metode observasi, wawancara, dan juga kuesioner. Observasi dilihat dengan mengamati aktifitas, tingkah laku, dan kebiasaan apa saja yang terjadi di ruang lingkup penelitian yaitu Simpang Lima Semarang. Selain itu, data dari sumber literatur juga dipergunakan untuk mengetahui pengukuran ergonomi, material, dan kebudayaan dari Kota Semarang.
