Abstract
PT. Multi Bintang adalah perusahaan bir yang sudah terkenal sejak dahulu kala, perusahaan ini ada di Indonesia pada tahun 1931 dan berlokasi di kota Medan. Perusahaan ini menggunakan nama N.V Nederlandsch - Indische Bierbrouwerijen. Bir yang diproduksi oleh perusahaan ini mengandung 0-5% alkohol, yaitu bir lager dengan rasa jeruk dan buah. Dengan berjalannya waktu, PT. Multi Bintang memiliki 2 brewery di Indonesia yang berlokasi di Tangerang dan Jawa Timur. Dalam hal proses brewing yang dilakukan oleh perusahaan, digunakan metode bottom yeast yang menggunakan ragi yang difermentasikan di bagian bawah tangki. Bir jenis ini memiliki warna kuning cerah atau keemasan dan difermentasi pada suhu 10 hingga 15 derajat Celcius.
