Abstract
Kewirausahaan memainkan peran penting dalam pertumbuhan ekonomi suatu negara, selain dapat membuka lapangan kerja baru, kewirausahaan juga membawakan kesejahteraan bagi negara tersebut. Disisi lain angka rasio wirausaha di Indonesia masih sangat rendah yaitu 3,4% jika dibandingkan dengan negara-negara tetangga. Guna untuk mempercepat pertumbuhan wirausaha baru dan mencapai target wirausaha di 3,95% pada tahun 2024. Kemenkop UKM, membuat program voluntary desk untuk mengundang mentor berpengalaman untuk membantu pelaku UMKM di Indonesia. Diyakini bahwa dengan pendampingan mentor bisa mempercepat pertumbuhan UMKM. Penelitian ini berorientasi meneliti faktor penyebab suksesnya kegiatan mentoring salah satunya itu adalah karakteristik dari seorang mentor yang mendukung pertumbuhan bisnis wirausaha. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif untuk menganalisis 155 data responden, serta menggunakan pendekatan berupa SEM-PLS dan juga penggunaan Aplikasi SmartPLS. Hasil pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 3 karakteristik mentor yang nilai berpengaruh terhadap suksesnya kegiatan mentoring yaitu communication, commitment, competency. Dan dari suksesnya kegiatan mentoring berpengaruh positif yang signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan bisnis yaitu experience level dan utility level.
